Because of the coronavirus situation we have not been able to schedule an AGM for 2019-20 and we will not be able to do so until it becomes safe for us to hold a public meeting. We are, therefore, making available the documents that would have been presented at the meeting and ask that you contact the office with any questions or comments that you may have. For the foreseeable future, Pat Southgate remains chair of R2R and the Board of Trustees remains unchanged with the exception of a new volunteer who has now taken on the role of Honorary Secretary.
At our AGM on Sunday 7 April 2019 at Skinner Street URC, Poole, the Trustees’ and Financial Reports were given for the year 2017-18. As this AGM took place after the end of FY 2018-19, a report was also made of activities during that fiscal year to bring members up-to-date with a great many service enhancements and the current financial position.
Andrew Teale, service manager for rough sleeper team St Mungo’s, and Katie Bathy, CMHT nurse, spoke of how important R2R’s drop-ins have become to them as an engaging tool with their clients. Regular attendance there enables them to talk to clients in an informal and relaxed atmosphere and work closely with other healthcare providers to ensure better outcomes. Our patron, The Right Reverend Karen Gorham, Bishop of Sherborne, was in attendance and spoke of how pleased she was to see how the charity is extending its ability to help and moving forward with more drop-ins and extended opening hours.
